The Nintendo DS is Nintendo's portable console released on 2006. It's the succesor of the Gameboy Advance. What makes the Nintendo DS different from the Gameboy is the fact that it has 2 screens. Also, it features a touchscreen, a microphone, and Wi-Fi. It is backwards compatible with Gameboy Advance games in single-player mode only. Currently, there has been two redesigns of the DS, the DS lite and the DSi. This last one removes the GBA slot, but adds the two cameras, a new menu, better Wi-Fi, an SD Card slot, AAC playback, and the DSi Shop.
