Title: The drawing thread
Post by: Knightlain on January 10, 2008, 08:08:44 PM
Well, I decided to do a thread for drawing to inspire people to draw, you can post your drawings here, doesn't matter if they are bad or something, just a drawing to post if you like to draw. No matter if it is digital or handmade, the the case is that it should be a drawing.

Here is a drawing, maybe a dress for a girl in the future, or possibly a design of a gift I'll give to my cousin if she likes it:
Note, this is just a test.

Err... well, sure, you want to draw, go ahead. So, you want feedback on your drawings or it's just artistic speechless expression? (note: my critics aren't nice, you are warned).

Nop, I want everybody that wants to to draw here, however, if you want to give oppinions of the drawings do it. But if you said you are so disruptive as the oppinions, don't do it this time, do it when I or anyone else has a better drawing, however, you can give an oppinion about the concept.

looks cool, I would like to do that in classes instead of studying xD, good for having so little resources such as only a pencil and a pen, but I still like it.

In fact... it's just pen ¬¬'
Anyway.... I'll add these two I did on the facebook grafitti app.
Was kind of hard because I did them with mousepad cause no mouse was available. >.<

I'm betting zeypher didn't typed constructive criticism in his post, right?

@Zeypher: the previous drawings he posted were made in MS Paint. Drawing in MS Paint = a lot harder than drawing on paper.

@Yakov: [inserts Spiderman quote about power]

Constructive critizism:  A form of communication in which a person tries to correct the behavior of another in a non-authoritarian way, and is generally a diplomatic approach about what another person is socially doing incorrectly. It is 'constructive' as opposed to a command or an insult and is meant as a peaceful and benevolent approach. Participatory learning in pedagogy is based on these principles of constructive criticism.

Constructive criticism is the process of offering valid and well-reasoned opinions about the work of others with the intention of helping the reader or the artist, rather than creating an oppositional attitude. An art critic can also be a champion of a new artistic movement in the face of a hostile public (e.g., John Ruskin), using scholarship and insight to show the value and depth of a new style. Critics might even champion a wholly new art medium: for instance, the century-long critical struggle to have photography recognised as a valid art form.

There can be tension between constructive and useful criticism; for instance, a critic might usefully help an individual artist to recognise what is poor or slapdash in their body of work—but the critic may have to appear harsh and judgmental in order to state this.

You just said ...Bad.
So don't come saying you are making constructive criticism...cause that's not even a sentence.

Yakov is right, in this case you shouldn't criticize without saying why, if not, it is destructive criticism. Or zeypher, would you like everybody to criticize you saying you suck at sports without saying why?

I see you've mastered teh dictionaries.

I might as well stop talking now though, seeing as how its NM, you, knightlain, and possibly Redslasher and Sarevok vs me for not agreeing with you...which it how it always is, lol.

For a lack of better wording, if you don't want people to critisize, then don't say critisism is allowed.

Edit: No bad words :P

And well, youre the only one who may not criticize my drawings cause well, IMO we don`t need to hear the unmature responses of a poor teen.
Mephistopheles may criticize badly but I know him... and he actually does constructive criticizm of more than one word. Anyway

Are you racist against Americans?
I'm a "foriegner" and I'm "poor"...and now I can't speak my mind?

I'm going to leave this forum. Its exactly the same over here as at a forum I actually was a Moderator of- Zelda Legacy. The majority of the members here seem to be biased beyond heck, just like it was there.

Zeypher, dictionaries tell people the real meaning of words. Using a dictionary as support for a fact about the definition of a word is completely valid. You shouldn't use that flame disguised as sarcasm in your message.

lol... constructive criticism is the only one permitted Zeypher, since, basically, the other type of criticism would be flaming, and flaming is not allowed.

I have to side on zeypher for this. He did criticize yes, but if you remember, no one ever asked for constructive criticism, you just said criticism. And besides, everyone is allowed there own opinion, so I'm sorry, but you aren't being very fair in this one.

Opinion's about Perseus's drawing?
Title: Re: The drawing thread

He didn't draw that. He used his Ancient Majicks to conjure that drawing, because theres no way in heck a nere mortal can draw something like that.

I believe anyone has the right to say a drawing is bad, but it's kind of useless to say something so noticeable.

But come on, just "bad" is a lame sentence, you need to take my copyrighted sadistic flaming course and you'll be ready to criticize to death :)

But darn, Perseus' Bahamut is nice, must... not... flame...

EDIT: lol, bad luck on you zeypher, he did draw that, I saw him, Perseus is quite a skilled drawer...

He did ctiticize....so what! its allowed. I didn't complaint. and there you said it again, this is a forum, here we are supposed to share oppinions...anything like "bad" "Good" "yes" "no" by itself is considered spam.

and youre right. But he said
So now we can't give constructive critisism on something when he asked for our opinions?
What he did was absolutely no Constructive Crticism as I stated on the full definition of it.

Link-Nm why dont you post mine.... or whatever I can do it again... just wait. I think htey must be somewere.

That's neat how it all came together.  And for a drawing done in paint I assume (or something of it), that's pretty good!
