Fav. Mega Man series
« on: June 29, 2006, 10:14:06 PM »
Post your favorite Mega Man series here. I have three favorite series: Mega Man X, Mega Man Battle Network and Mega Man Zero. Mega Man X for more moves and finding upgrades, Mega Man Battle Network for a unique action-based battle system and Mega Man Zero for the same series engine as MMX and I'm a Zero fan. Of course, I like the Classic series too, but in a separate way. I have to play the Legends series to see if it appeals me or not.

Hmmm, well, I briefly played Megaman Zero, and never played Battle Network nor Legends (I played Megaman Legends 2 for like 10 minutes and never again, slow start or else I didn't like it), I choose Megaman X, however, your poll has an issue... it says you may select up to 5 options, and there are only 5 options, I can understand if you like all of them, but favorite has a meaning, it should be up to 2 options to choose IMO, or else just 1.

EDIT: Changed to 4, choosing all options has no true meaning...

My favorites is the X series and the Zero series. Really good fast-action and music in those games and I like the engine. The hidden upgrades and other secret stuff also makes these series my favorites. I also like the Classic, Legends, and EXE series, but they aren't my favorites.

hahah noooo, my goshhh im the only one that have picked megaman legends
hahahah nononon
it is pretty good!!! specially MML2!!!!!
hahah i mean its 3D!!!! and when i mean 3D i mean like TLoZ, not like MMX 8, hahaha and i like it a LOT because there is only ROLL and X, plus, X gets pretty good weapons, including a drill arm and the Zetsabre!!! (Zero's blade beam)
I think the MML2 is very similar to TLoZ MM hahah because you have to pass through 4 ruins (considering them temples) to obtain 4 keys.
The ruins are as long as the TLoZ temples but a lot harder, unless you are playing the game in easy mode.
MML series RULZ!!!!!!!

Hmm... seems someone didn't pay attention to the Story/Timeline of Megaman.

If X was alive in the DASH series I bet things would be A LOT different. The Zet-sabre, is not exactly the same as the one from Zero, but is based from it. One of a lot cameo things Capcom likes to do.

Series Timeline

Megaman (Classic) - 200X to 20XX
Megaman X - 21XX to 22XX
Megaman Zero - 23XX
Megaman ZX - (?)
Megaman Legends - (rumored 8XXX)

Alternate Timeline

Megaman BN - (200X)
Rebirth Rockman ZN - (?)

Do you mean you can play easy mode before clearing the game for the first time? I have played Legends, but not Legends 2, reason why I'm asking this.

MMM i don't get the point of why did you put that i haven't pay attention to the story/timeline of megaman? if i only described MML2 and compared its graphics to TLoZ and MMX8. To be more recent doesn't mean that it must have better graphics and to be older doesn't mean to have worse graphics.

Sorry, couldn't separate properly the quote. Check it now to know what I mean, it's fixed now.

hahaha sorry, but i still don't get it hahaha, it is only Roll and X, so???

Do you mean you can play easy mode before clearing the game for the first time? I have played Legends, but not Legends 2, reason why I'm asking this.

The first time you play it, it is in normal mode
then when you accomplish it you can choose to play a new game in easy, nomral, hard, or super hard

Unlocking "easy" is that simple?? Bad move Capcom, they should have left it the same way it was in Legends.

There is no X, Roll is not Roll from the classic series(who never meets X), it is Roll Caskett, and you've also got Data and the Bonne Family, shouldn't ignore them, specially Tron since she even has her own game.
