Thanks for the tutorials gamemaniac. But just one point to remember, I am not caring for ilumination as the model would be used for a game or something alike that is interactive so why to care if the renderers are different.
It is better to create the texture with shadows generated and all of that. However, illumination in the Game Engine is also useful.

Well I don't know if the material information is also exported as part of the model ... if so then you better use materials instead of just textures ... that way you'll take the most benefit of in-game light effects ... either way the highlight in the eyes are still not necesary as part of the texture... anyway ... that's for Mitrakura.

Now regarding this new character:

The anatomy is still somewhat unnatural .... even if child heads are depicted bigger ... I think you over did it ...

Also I would recommend to do the modeling in a more neutral and clear position that is ... standing with both arms extended to the sides in a 90? angle... that way you can work better on the anatomy of the full body ... then when finished bend them to a more relaxed position ...

After that just add the animation skeleton and move it to the position you want ... and the model should keep the same proportions ...

Now... I don't know how "real" you want your models to look like ... but this model needs more work before it resembles a desent 3D-Game Human Character ...

Regardless of what the model is about ... when working with 3D models for animations(or games)... you need to distribute effectively the number of polygon you use ... else you'll end up with slow frame rate or poor looking models ... First try to stablish a polygon # limit ... and then decide where this polygons will go ...

Some parts require fewer polygons than others ... for instance a stick needs fewer than a ball so the stick uses fewer resources(Memory, CPU usage or stuff like that) ... A way to decrease polygon usage is to use textures to suggest the missing polygons ... so a complex objet like hair can be effectively modeled as leaf-like layers and still look fine ... same as grass ... or other "Fluffy" objects ...

Anyway this is all MHO ... but for further resource material and useful lessons ... look here:

Look through it carefully cause not all of them are for 3D studio Max ... most are for 3ds max though ...

And I think that this tutorial could help you as reference for better looking anatomy...

I prefer 3:4 screens XP...

And I didn't have any virus problems with my Dell Laptop .... although I did have high temperature issues ... <.< ... last monday my Lap froze ... and when I tried to turn it on again ... it fail to start the OS ... TT_TT I had to repair the OS ... but now is as good as new XD ... so I would really like a heat proof Laptop ... XD and some backup CD's >.< ...

I wish your damage meter would regenerate alone if you're not fighting, like, after you kill, you just stand in there and regen (a decent regen).

But you have to download the lenguage files before each battle and everytime you start the game .... it takes 45 mins to download the files ... XD at least are free...

I wish there could be a "Hacker" character with special computer related moves .... XD
