Nostalgia, do you still feel it?
« on: April 20, 2008, 11:41:42 AM »
Well, I wrote this topic thinking on the old games I had, Bomberman Hero, Bomberman 64 the Second Attack. Star Fox. etc. However, I am starting to think these games tasted better than actual games, I don't know why. Have you feel nostalgia thinking in your old N64 or Snes games?

Well, I haven't bought any new consoles since PS, so I don't have much nostalgia to it, good games tasted better because they rocked, I don't prefer my old games over my new games, I just pick which games I liked and period. Since I play mostly RPGs I do get the feeling many games just improve in graphics but stories are more important to me, so the release date makes no difference. The only thing that can be judged fairly is gameplay, and IMO when a new game has a similar gameplay to another one you played ages ago it doesn't feel better, only when the gameplay is cool and innovative you can feel a new game to beat the c**p of those oldies.
