Making money in Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis can seem rough at times. This is specially true if you are mainly a free to play player. But if you know the right strategies getting a decent amount of N-Meseta is not hard. In this guide I will go through each method on how to make money in PSO2 NGS, starting from the free methods all the way to the premium ones. Also, this guide will not cover PSO2 Classic.
Free to play methods
Collect all Red Containers
This is only available if you are still a new player. Some of the Red Containers that you find hidden around planet Halpha include 10,000 N-Meseta. By default, you can use your Mag sonar to find Red Containers hidden through the four regions of Halpha. You can also use a map such as the one at the Arks-Visiphone to help you find all of them.
Do your Dailies every day
Since the beginning of April 2023, the Daily Tasks provide a good amount of N-Meseta. Just by finishing all dailies you get 134,000 N-Meseta. If you do this daily, you would get 938,000 N-Meseta in one week. Doing dailies also don’t take much time. Usually, around 10 minutes is enough to get them all complete.
Collect the daily sellable items
Every day in each region in Halpha, there are 3 types of items that spawn randomly whose only purpose is to be sold for N-Meseta. These treasure items are:
- Alpha Reactors. Worth 3,500 N-Meseta each.
- Stellar Fragments. Worth 2,000 N-Meseta each.
- Snoals. Worth 3,500 N-Meseta each.
By default, your Mag sonar should help you find them once you are close to their location. Here’s how to find them at each region.
Aelio
Aelio has 14 Alpha Reactors to collect. And since January 25, 2023, they have all been relocated to be grouped together in a very accessible way at Central Aelio. They also always spawn in the same locations which are shown in the map below.
Additionally, here’s a quick video showing where they may spawn on these locations.
While they may not always be the same number of Alpha Reactors per location, they will always be a total of 14 after collecting them all. In total, this would give you 49,000 N-Meseta per day after selling them.
Retem
Retem is home to the Stellar Fragments. There are 10 of them all located on West Retem. The map below shows the general location of them and the video shows how to collect them.
Collecting and selling them all would get you 20,000 N-Meseta per day.
Kvaris
At Kvaris you will find a mineral called Snoal. There are 10 of them all located at the northern part of Central Kvaris. While a bit spread out, they are all still very easy to find. You can see the general location of them in the map below.
Like before, here’s also a video which shows how you can easily collect them all following a simple path from north to south.
Collecting and selling them all will earn you 35,000 N-Meseta each day.
Stia
Finally, at Stia you can find the Invisible Containers. These boxes include valuable items and one of them may be Alpha Reactors. There are 8 of them every day all available at Dreisen Plant. You can see where and how to find them in the map and video below.
Do your Weeklies
While Weeklies don’t give as much money as before, they are still worth doing. Doing all Weekly Tasks will earn you 200,000 N-Meseta.
Take advantage of the 3-Day Shop Pass
Every Mission Pass comes with a free 3-Day Personal Shop Pass. To get the most out of these, save them until you have items that are considered valuable such as a rare augment capsule or a high-end rare weapon with a Fixa. You can always check the value of items you own by selecting them in your inventory.
Once you get a few or several items worth selling, use one of your 3-Day Personal Shop Pass and list everything on the shop. Personal Shop gives you access to 30 spaces, so preferably wait until you have at least 15 items to list. Anything you list on your shop will stay listed even after your Personal Shop Pass expires.
Grind at a Combat Sector
Finally, once you’ve gone through all the methods above, your last method to get money would be by simply grinding at a Combat Sector. For this method, it is also recommended that you have Auto Sell feature enabled and use N-Meseta Booster or items that give this effect. Each Mission Pass gives one Auto Sell Pass for free, so you can save them and use one of them right before starting your grind session. If you don’t have access to the Auto Sell feature, then it’s still possible to use this method and still recommended. Just be aware that you will have to be pausing your combat session from time to time to sell things from your inventory as it will be filling up.
As for the boosters, there’s several of them that you can take advantage of without much effort. The most basic item would be the N-Meseta Booster. You should remember to use this before starting your grinding session. But you can easily add other boosters. For example, simply being in a party will give you a Triboost effect, which means it’s a boost that includes Rare Drop Rate, Experience, and N-Meseta, which is what’s mostly important here. Keep in mind that each different type of booster stacks up, so you can increase the amount of N-Meseta you obtain while grinding for a good amount.
The recommended sector to pick when your objective is to collect N-Meseta is currently Dext Base at Stia. Preferably, you would want to go there while using Talis or Harmonizer. You would then be selling all lower rarity weapons and units you get here. The Silver and Gold weapons you get here are ok to sell too as they provide very little value as enhancing materials. For enhancing, it is instead recommended to use Gold Primm Swords II, Gold Primm Armor II, and Endymio capsules which can be usually obtained from the highest rank Urgent Quests and combat sectors with enemies above level 70.
Premium methods
Scratches and Personal Shop
If you are ok with spending some money on the game to purchase some AC, then you have access to one of the easiest or best methods to get N-Meseta quickly.
First of all, if you have Premium it means you also have access to Personal Shop all the time. This is not necessarily needed, but it’s really helpful. You won’t have to depend on the free Shop Passes given out from the Mission Pass. It is worth mentioning too that having Premium makes it so you get a bonus Triboost when you get your Food Boost.
As for the actual method to get N-Meseta, what you need to do or depend on is on your AC Scratch pulls. You buy AC, pull from an AC Scratch banner, and then list the items you are not interested in on the Personal Shop. Cosmetics such as hairs or emotes are usually very valuable.
Limited Time methods
Seasonal Event Exchange
Finally, there is another way to get easy N-Meseta but you depend on time limited events. Every time there’s some sort of seasonal event in the game, an NPC, such as Xiemi, appears too and offers you tasks but most importantly a seasonal exchange. In this exchange, one of the items offered will be Alpha Reactors. As previously mentioned, the only use of Alpha Reactors is to be sold for big quantities of N-Meseta. So getting all the Alpha Reactors offered by the event NPC should be one of your priorities if your objective is to get N-Meseta.
These methods are still valid after the release of PSO2 NGS ver.2. If you make sure to follow them every day, you will soon be accumulating plenty of N-Meseta.
